Programme
Depart from Sopron in the morning for an unforgettable day in northeastern Slovenia.
Our first stop is Dobrovnik, home to Central Europe's only Tropical Garden and Orchid Farm. The nursery cultivates between one and one and a half million plants each year, offering visitors the opportunity to admire an impressive collection of exotic orchids and tropical plants.
After the visit, we take a short break in the nearby Energy Park, a unique natural site renowned for its relaxing atmosphere and believed by many to have beneficial effects on well-being.
We then continue to the charming town of Lendava, where a guided walk introduces us to its main attractions, including St. Catherine's Parish Church on Church Square and the elegant turn-of-the-century buildings along the Main Street, as well as the Theatre and Concert Hall designed by the renowned Hungarian architect Imre Makovecz.
On our way home, we stop at the well-known Hancsik Farm, famous for its warm hospitality, where we enjoy a traditional St. Martin's Day feast prepared according to Slovenian culinary traditions.
The festive menu includes an aperitif, soup, roast duck (a traditional speciality of the Prekmurje region), homemade noodles, chestnut sauce, braised cabbage, dessert, coffee, local wine, mineral water and homemade fruit syrup. (The restaurant reserves the right to modify the menu.)
After a delightful culinary experience, we return to Sopron in the evening.
