The inaugural event takes place on one of Hungary's most important national holidays, 20 August 2026, celebrating the country's founding by King Saint Stephen. The acclaimed Győr Philharmonic Orchestra presents a programme dedicated to Hungarian-inspired masterpieces, including Berlioz's Rákóczi March, Johann Strauss II's Long Live the Hungarians! (Éljen a magyar!) Quick Polka, Johannes Brahms' passionate Hungarian Dances, and Zoltán Kodály's magnificent orchestral variations on the beloved Hungarian folk song The Peacock Has Flown (Fölszállott a páva).
